"At least one indicator used to monitor COVID-19 activity is increasing in all ten HHS regions and many regions are reporting increases in multiple indicators.
▸ The percentages of specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 increased in all ten HHS regions.
▸ The highest percentages of specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 were seen in four regions, mainly the central portion of the U.S. Region: 5 (Midwest at 12.3%), 6 (South Central at 11.7%), 7 (Central at 17.6%) and 10 (Mountain at 12%).
▸ The percentages of visits for ILI (Influenza-like Illness), CLI (COVID-like Illness) or both, increased in five of ten regions.
▸ For some indicators and regions, the increases have been small from week to week but have continued over several weeks while other indicators have increased more sharply in some regions."
