The CDC and WHO have summarized key findings affecting individuals with the coronavirus.

Key Findings ...


"At least one indicator used to monitor COVID-19 activity is increasing in all ten HHS regions and many regions are reporting increases in multiple indicators.

▸ The percentages of specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 increased in all ten HHS regions.

The highest percentages of specimens testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 were seen in four regions, mainly the central portion of the U.S. Region: 5 (Midwest at 16.2%), 6 (South Central at 13.7%), 7 (Central at 23.5%) and 8 (Mountain at 15.5%).

▸ The overall percentage of visits to outpatient providers or emergency departments (EDs) for ILI (Influenza-like illness) or CLI (COVID-like illness) has been increasing since mid-September.

▸ For some indicators and regions, the increases have been small from week to week but have continued over several weeks while other indicators have increased more sharply in some regions."
