The nursing profession is being celebrated globally in 2020!! Ten million strong – the World Health Organization has declared 2020 as the “International Year of the Nurse and Midwife” in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.
To recognize the contribution nurses make to healthcare, the American Nurses Association (ANA) will celebrate nurses for the entire month of May! This will expand opportunities to recognize nurses’ contributions, promote self-care and professional development, educate our communities about what nurses do, and inspire future generations of the profession.
