Some Thoughts and Facts to Ponder — 2021 and Beyond

2020 will live in infamy.
We are trying to implement the “most likely” complex vaccination program in human history – amid political, cultural, and economic disparities – without a global plan.
At the same time, other communicable diseases have not gone away.
Nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals have faced the most grueling conditions – worker relief is not on the horizon.
In the U.S., healthcare delivery is further complicated with provider-payer relations, CMS continuously changing the “rules and requirements”, administration differences between states and local entities. And, COVID-19 came.
Capacities does not equal capabilities – the ability to apply resources in a time of crisis.
Failure to contain the virus will continue for years – what we know today and what we do not know – the physical, mental, emotional scars – will continue beyond the economic scar.
Expect stability to be possible in two (2) years.
