Some Thoughts and Facts to Ponder — 2021 and Beyond

Updated: Jan 17, 2021

Where we are today & the journey out of the COVID pandemic.
COVID in 2021 and beyond

2020 will live in infamy.

We are trying to implement the “most likely” complex vaccination program in human history – amid political, cultural, and economic disparities – without a global plan.

At the same time, other communicable diseases have not gone away.

Nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals have faced the most grueling conditions – worker relief is not on the horizon.

Globally – healthcare lacks sufficient numbers of healthcare workers especially, nurses.

In the U.S., healthcare delivery is further complicated with provider-payer relations, CMS continuously changing the “rules and requirements”, administration differences between states and local entities. And, COVID-19 came.

Capacities does not equal capabilities – the ability to apply resources in a time of crisis.

Failure to contain the virus will continue for years – what we know today and what we do not know – the physical, mental, emotional scars – will continue beyond the economic scar.

Expect stability to be possible in two (2) years.

You? Me? Improve yourself every day. Then, you can help another person to improve.
